Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER) travel assignment in Hermiston, Oregon. Start date: 04/27/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,010–$2,167. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Setting: Critical Access Hospital ER.

Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments on arrival and during treatment, including vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms; document findings.
- Triage patients and prioritize care based on acuity; initiate emergency care per physician orders; monitor response and escalate as needed.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and perform emergency procedures (e.g., wound care, splinting); monitor for adverse reactions.
- Continuously monitor patient status; interpret data, adjust interventions, and communicate the plan with the medical team; document in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff; provide patient education, advocacy, and ensure safety and infection control standards.
- Maintain readiness for rapid response events (rapid responses, code blue); participate in quality improvement activities and follow applicable education requirements; agency staff may be floated to other departments as qualified.

Requirements
- Education: Required: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; Desired: BSN
- Licenses: Current RN license in the State of Oregon
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC required; CRASE training if travel extends beyond 6 months
- Experience: Required: None; Desired: Previous clinical experience
- Skills/Working: Strong clinical skills and critical thinking; excellent communication and teamwork; ability to work under pressure in high-acuity environments
- Physical/Working: Lift up to 50 pounds; continuous standing and walking; ability to distinguish colors; ability to work long shifts, including nights
