Job Title: Data Engineer

Location: Remote

Duration: 09-12 Weeks

Employment Type: Contract

Pay Rate Range: $115 to $120

Position Summary

We are seeking a Mid/Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable data pipelines and integrations across enterprise data platforms. This role will focus on building reliable data workflows, managing data ingestion and transformation processes, and supporting reporting infrastructure through standardized data delivery.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with Oracle databases, workflow orchestration tools, and Python-based data engineering solutions. This role will primarily support enterprise data movement, transformation, and integration activities, with limited involvement in reporting visualization development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and deliver structured and semi-structured data.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using orchestration and data integration tools.
• Build and maintain data ingestion frameworks using enterprise data integration tools.
• Write efficient, scalable SQL queries for data transformation and performance tuning.
• Develop reusable Python-based scripts for automation, transformation, and data validation.
• Configure and manage workflows using orchestration tools to ensure reliable pipeline execution.
• Integrate new data sources into existing reporting environments.
• Support Power BI connectivity by configuring new data source connections to existing reports (no dashboard design responsibilities).
• Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot failures or performance bottlenecks.
• Implement logging, error handling, and data validation controls.
• Collaborate with business analysts, reporting teams, and platform engineers to ensure reliable data delivery.
• Maintain technical documentation related to data pipelines, data flows, and integration patterns.
• Support data quality initiatives and enforce data governance best practices.

• Experience supporting data integration for reporting platforms.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
