INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST I – INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIVISION / WEB, APP AND DATA SERVICES / SACRAMENTO, CA

The reporting location for this position is the Information Technology Division in Sacramento, CA. This position will work under the direction of the Information Technology Supervisor II.

The incumbent is responsible for full lifecycle software development, including analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation, and training. Assess business and system requirements, ensuring compliance with state standards around security, accessibility, and architecture. Independently develop and maintain web applications using technologies like ASP.NET, MVC, ASP.NET Blazor, jQuery, HTML, and SQL, and handle upgrades, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Design and implement robust, scalable RESTful APIs following industry best practices and security standards. The position includes translating business needs into technical specifications, supporting development environments, and designing and managing databases to ensure performance, integrity, and secure data handling.

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

This position is designated as telework eligible- remote centered.

1. Please describe your experience developing ASP.NET projects, focusing on one project where you automated a manual process to improve client efficiency. Include the technology stack used, the main challenges faced, and your approach to delivering a successful product.
