Main Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of materials and equipment.
  • Lead, train, and schedule warehouse associates; delegate tasks and monitor team performance to meet operational goals.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using the company inventory management system and perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality; coordinate returns and discrepancies with vendors and purchasing.
  • Prepare and stage materials for service and installation crews to ensure timely delivery to job sites.
  • Ensure warehouse cleanliness, organization, and proper storage of parts and products to maximize space and efficiency.
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures, conduct regular safety inspections, and maintain compliance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Coordinate with operations, purchasing, and field teams to prioritize orders and resolve supply issues.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely (certification preferred where applicable).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Necessary Skills & Abilities

  • Proven supervisory or lead experience in a warehouse, distribution, or inventory-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable coordinating with field technicians, vendors, and office staff.
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems and basic office software (email, spreadsheets).
  • Ability to analyze stock levels, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and experience enforcing safety protocols.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required and to work in a warehouse environment.

Required Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required; vocational training or post-secondary coursework in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of warehouse experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.

To ensure efficient and accurate warehouse operations that support HomePro’s field teams and projects by maintaining inventory integrity, supervising warehouse staff, and facilitating timely delivery of materials and equipment.
