Overview
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Cardiac) in Rochester, New York. This travel assignment starts May 11, 2026 and runs for 13 weeks, with 12-hour day shifts (7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.). Weekly pay ranges from $2,464 to $2,655, with no guaranteed hours. Work in a hospital operating room setting focused on adult cardiac cases, including CABGs, TAVR, and advanced heart failure procedures. Requires NY RN license, BLS and ACLS, and the ability to scrub and circulate in the OR.

Responsibilities
- Independently scrub and circulate complex adult cardiac cases, including CABG, structural heart procedures, and minimally invasive operations
- Provide perioperative nursing care to patients across the adult cardiac population, prioritizing patient safety and sterile technique
- Collaborate with surgeons, perfusionists, anesthesia providers, and other OR team members to coordinate efficient, high-quality care
- Monitor patients intraoperatively using telemetry as indicated and document perioperative events, vital signs, and interventions
- Support patients and families, explain procedures, and advocate for patient preferences and needs throughout the surgical process

Requirements
- Current New York RN license (active)
- BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS (American Heart Association) certifications
- Minimum two (2) years of operating room experience, with strong preference for level 1 trauma OR exposure
- Ability to independently scrub and circulate in cardiac OR cases
- Telemetry experience or competency
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts and perform duties in a fast-paced surgical environment
