Job Title: Packing Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Packing Operator to join our team. This role involves performing the packaging of products to be sent out, operating RF scanners to track products within the warehouse, and managing shipping and receiving functions. There is an exciting opportunity to advance to the Slitter Operator position upon hire, where you will engage in more complex tasks such as reading bills of materials, performing machine setups, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform packaging of products for dispatch.
• Operate RF scanners for product tracking.
• Handle shipping and receiving functions.
• As a Slitter Operator, read bills of materials and perform machine setups.
• Thread film into machines, and set blades to appropriate widths.
• Program machines for length, speed, and tension.
• Set up leader tables with proper tapes, leaders, and trailers.
• Retrieve proper cores from inventory.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of machines and complete quality checks with calipers.

Essential Skills

• Assembly, kitting, and packing experience.
• Manufacturing experience.
• Reliability and attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in general labor, production, and inspection is a plus.

Work Environment

The facility is a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. The dress code requires steel toe boots, blue jeans or Cintas pants without holes, and a solid-colored shirt. Shorts are also permissible

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hebron, KY.

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.50/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Hebron,KY.
