Kickstart your career with our client as an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer in Tallassee, Alabama. This is a unique opportunity to join a world-class manufacturing environment where you will work alongside industry experts to develop cutting-edge hardware for the water utility sector. We are looking for a motivated BSME graduate with a foundational grasp of 3D CAD modeling and a desire to learn the nuances of plastic injection molding, metal casting, and ruggedized electronics.

responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop innovative components for smart water technology.

• Create and modify 3D CAD models, primarily using CREO, for various mechanical parts and assemblies.

• Assist in the design of injection-molded plastics, metal castings, and stamped sheet metal components.

• Develop and execute product test plans and specifications to ensure design reliability and performance.

• Produce and review technical drawings in accordance with ANSI standards.

• Research and apply methods for protecting electronic assemblies within harsh environmental conditions.

• Coordinate with manufacturing teams to support the transition of designs from concept to local production.

• Actively participate in skill-building and professional development under the guidance of senior engineering staff.
