Job Title: Machine Operator - WEEKLY PAY - $20/hour to $24/hour

Job Description

This role involves operating production machinery, performing hand assembly and packaging of finished products, and making minor adjustments to equipment while strictly following safety rules and written instructions. The position has potential extension, and local opportunities within a highly organized, climate-controlled facility.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of production machines and equipment to produce high-quality products that meet customer specifications.
  • Load and unload assembly and multi-station machines, including loading components into hoppers and offloading finished parts.
  • Perform hand assembly, sealing, and packaging of products according to established procedures and work instructions.
  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspection of parts to verify quality and identify defects or nonconformances.
  • Make minor adjustments to machinery and equipment to maintain efficient and accurate operation.
  • Follow detailed electronic and paper documentation accurately, including production orders, work instructions, and quality records.
  • Adhere to all safety rules, personal protective equipment requirements, and standard operating procedures while working on the production floor.
  • Follow work direction provided by Production Leads and Production Supervisors, and actively participate in Tier Meetings and other team communications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support a safe, efficient, and high-quality production environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and support troubleshooting activities to resolve basic mechanical or process issues with machines.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of experience operating production or manufacturing machines.
  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment with a focus on quality output.
  • Ability to perform assembly tasks, including hand assembly and sealing of parts.
  • At least 1 year of experience performing quality inspection of parts.
  • Ability to read and understand electronic and paper documentation accurately, including work instructions and production records.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude to perform minor machine adjustments and support troubleshooting.
  • Experience performing visual and basic dimensional inspection for quality verification.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow safety rules, procedures, and work instructions consistently.
  • Ability to work assigned shifts and overtime as required, within the stated hour limits.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with blueprint reading is beneficial for understanding product and quality requirements.
  • Previous experience in assembly, inspection, or production roles in a clean, organized manufacturing environment.
  • Comfort working with multi-station machinery and automated equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to assist with basic troubleshooting of equipment.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a climate-controlled, very clean, and safety-focused production facility. Standard shifts include a first shift from Monday to Thursday, 5:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., and a second shift from Monday to Thursday, 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. A third shift from 7:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday, is dedicated to maintenance, and a weekend shift runs Friday through Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Team members may work up to approximately 50 hours per week after a few weeks of training, with no more than 12 hours in a single day. The shop uses organized production lines and multi-station machines and emphasizes clear documentation and standardized work. Required attire includes steel-toe or closed-toe footwear, along with hearing and eye protection as part of the standard personal protective equipment on the production floor.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $24.00/hr.
