Director of Music Prince of Peace Catholic Parish Madison, Indiana Prince of Peace Catholic Church and K-12 Schools, located in Madison, Indiana, is seeking a full-time Director of Music/Music Teacher. This person would be responsible for the Director of Music for Prince of Peace Church and will lead all liturgical and devotional music for the parish and various special events. They will also teach music a few hours per week at Prince of Peace Schools, preparing students in liturgical and sacred music for Mass and other sacred events. Prince of Peace is located in beautiful Southeast Indiana, on the Ohio River. Madison has been rated the Best Small Town in the Midwest by USA Today and is a festive, historic, and hospitable community, one hour from both Cincinnati and Louisville. Prince of Peace is a vibrant, growing, evangelizing community of the faithful, with great potential for music ministry. Major responsibilities include: Preparing, accompanying (piano and organ preferred), and leading music for all Solemnities Masses, including Weekend Masses, Holy Days, and various special Masses hosted throughout the year. Preparing, accompanying, and leading music for special devotional prayer, including Adoration, Stations of the Cross, Processions and special devotional worship. Recruiting, growing, teaching, and leading volunteer choirs and cantors Preparing and leading music for parishioner weddings and funerals.
