Job Description

This is a remote position.

The Meggs Foundation is committed to providing financial assistance and compassionate support to young adults battling cancer throughout the Greater community. Our mission is to reduce financial hardship, connect individuals and families with valuable resources, and provide hope and support during difficult times.

Position Summary

The Data Entry Representative is responsible for accurately entering, maintaining, and updating organizational records and information. This position supports daily administrative operations by ensuring data related to donations, patient assistance programs, volunteers, and community outreach initiatives is organized and processed efficiently. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter and update information into databases, spreadsheets, and company systems accurately and efficiently
  • Review applications, forms, and records for accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems
  • Process donor, volunteer, and patient support information
  • Scan, upload, and categorize important documents
  • Assist with generating reports and administrative documentation
  • Identify and correct data discrepancies when necessary
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and personal information
  • Communicate with internal departments regarding missing or updated information
  • Support general administrative and clerical functions as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous data entry, administrative, or office support experience preferred
  • Strong typing and computer skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in nonprofit, healthcare, or community service organizations
  • Familiarity with CRM or database management systems
  • Strong problem-solving and recordkeeping abilities
